Organizing

Ahri’s Organizing provides a space where young people of color become leaders for their communities and shape their own narratives.
We believe in having a space where youth of color can come together and thrive. Through reflecting on their own experiences and
those of their peers, youth adapt civic engagement as not only a tool of power, but a tool of wellness for their communities.
We believe in long-term collective justice; we aim to center our efforts on a vision where we work alongside communities
with the greatest needs while centering long-term solutions that lead to collective liberation.

How We Organize

At Ahri, one of our core values is to be grassroots and led by community needs and desires. We believe in developing community campaigns through four key pillars of community campaign development.

Basebuilding

Building relationships around shared
values and engaging the community to understand needs and assess issues
that impact daily life.

Community & Political Education

Educating members on our collective and individual identities, struggles, and history.

Leadership Development

Developing and empowering young
leaders to be avenues of change in
their own communities

Mobilization

Organizing the community to uplift their voices and advocate for collective justice.
