Organizational Overview

AHRI (아리) is a traditional word in Korean that means "paving a new path." At Ahri, we're forging a new way to enhance lives in Southern California, focusing on grassroots organizing to empower people of color and community members. Our mission is to equip individuals with the tools to drive progressive change, challenging systemic issues to ensure access to education, healthcare, affordable housing, and fair wages, free from the fear of deportation.

Job Overview

As the Community Organizer, you will take the lead in driving campaigns targeting low-propensity communities of color in Orange County. Your responsibilities will include outreach, education, persuasion, and mobilization efforts, working closely with community leaders to identify and address key issues affecting these communities. This is a full-time role, requiring 40 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend commitments.

The position offers a hybrid work model, with a mandate for daily in-person work during the fall season. Fall field will involve exposure to the elements and inclement weather. The office work environment is shared, with a moderate level of noise and interruptions.

Reporting to the Civic Engagement Manager, you will collaborate extensively with the Organizing Team, staff members, coalition partners, and community members to ensure a comprehensive and impactful approach to civic engagement.
